Most pupils are aware of world events through the news and other media sources, even if they don’t know exactly where-in-the-world these events are taking place, nor what they mean. Furthermore many pupils have relatives and friends living in nations around the world. This activity encourages pupils to pray for those situations, and for those relatives and friends.
This activity works best if you have a very large world map or globes that pupils can stick post-it note prayers onto. The larger the map the better, so that nations and cities don’t get covered too quickly. If the map gets too crowded, you can cluster post-it note prayers to one side or the other and connect them to the location with a piece of string, or an arrow.
