In the Bible, Jesus rides into Jerusalem on a donkey surrounded by crowds of people who shout things like; “Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven and glory in the highest”. We know this day as Palm Sunday, and it comes one week before Easter Sunday.
This prayer activity encourages pupils to write or draw a prayer onto a piece of palm-leaf shaped paper for someone who is important to them. This might be a please prayer, a sorry prayer, a forgiveness prayer or simply just a thank you prayer.
