This activity encourages pupils to consider the world that we live in. There are lots of amazing things about the current world; beautiful things, things that we enjoy and appreciate and love and couldn’t imagine living without. There are also some not so great things.
In the Bible, one of the writers, John, says; “I heard a loud shout from the throne, saying, “Look, God’s home is now among his people! He will live with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them. He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.”
John says that God will one day create a new earth that will be free from death, sorry, crying and pain, that all of these things will be gone forever.
This activity encourages pupils to consider a scenario in which they have the power to be able to make a ‘New World’, whilst considering three questions:
1. What would they keep the same?
2. What would they change?
3. What rules would they create?
