Christians believe slavery, captivity & exile were NEVER part of God’s plan or his will for us. They are the results of sin.
In the Bible, the very first book, Genesis, tells us the plan for creation was good and perfect. We were all made in the image of God, which includes all skin colours, shapes and sizes!
Modern day slavery still exists – there are about 50 million people in some form of slavery and about a quarter of those are children. But slavery isn’t always as obvious as the stories we read in history books.
This prayer activity invites pupils to take a person shape. Write, draw & decorate your person as you pray for their healing or slavery to end.
