On Saturday 17th March 2012, Bolton footballer Fabrice Muamba collapsed in the first half of his club’s FA Cup tie with Tottenham at White Hart Line. The 23-year-old was clinically dead for 78 minutes. On 16th April, Muamba walked out of hospital.

In an interview with the Sun the following week his father said; “I said to God, ‘You are the one who resurrected Lazarus from the dead. Now in this moment glorify yourself.’ At that stage many people believed even if he survived he would end up brain damaged and could never be his old self. But I was calm because I had put my trust in God. And God did not let me down.”
The books in the Bible that talk about Jesus’ life tell lots of stories about him performing miracles. A man whose son was really sick once came to Jesus and said; “If you can do anything, take pity on us and help us.”
“‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for him who believes.”
Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!”
