When we say or do bad things it’s like throwing rubbish into each other’s lives. This activity encourages pupils to look around the beautiful outdoors for rubbish, to think about how rubbish can ruin something beautiful. They’re then invited to think about something bad that they’ve done or said, and they want to say sorry for. This activity is similar to other sorry activities. By collecting and remembering rubbish, words or actions we are able to say sorry, apologise and work towards a more beautiful life.
This activity is part of our forest outdoor series developed by Jane Gillis in Bristol. These activities are designed for outdoor prayer spaces.
