This activity is focussed on grief. Grief can be extremely hard for people to come to terms with. This activity invites pupils to reflect on their feelings of grief and, if they want to, tell God about them.
Pupils can take a piece of paper on which they write their feelings. Pupils will feel different things as everyone processes grief differently. They are also encouraged to write down what they need to help them with their grief. They can then take their paper to the wire wall, roll it up and put it in a hole. The wire wall is significant as it represents the cross that Jesus suffered and died on. Christians believe that God grieved for Jesus, and so understands the grief and loss that we feel too.
