Classroom Prayer Spaces

A classroom prayer space is often in a classroom, but could also be in a hall, the library, a multi-use space or even in a marquee or big party ten outside. It includes a variety of prayer activities, anywhere from six to a dozen, and is visited by classes for lessons, usually as part of RE. The length of time of the prayer space is determined by the timetable for the classes that will visit, anything from one day for a very small primary school to two weeks for a big comprehensive. It might also be open to pupils to visit during break or lunch time.

A classroom prayer space is set up and run by a team from the local church who will introduce the lesson and help pupils to engage if required.
